Understand Plan & access

The one panel that answers what you have, until when, and what happens next.

Short answer

Account → Plan & access shows your current status, the date it runs to, and what happens at that date. It reads from the server rather than from your browser, so what it says is what is actually true of your account.

Plan & access is the one place that answers what you have, until when, and what happens next. Every other screen in CardCloser defers to it.

Open it

  1. Open the Account tab in the Agent Portal.
  2. Read the Plan & access panel.

Why it sometimes says "Checking your access"

CardCloser asks the server what your access is rather than working it out in your browser. That is deliberate: if the browser decided, a wrong clock or a stale page could tell you something untrue about your own account.

The cost of that choice is a brief moment where the answer is genuinely not known, and CardCloser says so instead of guessing.

This panel is the authority. If anything else in CardCloser seems to disagree with it — a disabled publish control, a locked download — Plan & access is the one that is right.

What is not here

Plan & access is about access. Downloading your data, unpublishing and closing your account are in Privacy & data, further down the same tab.

If this doesn't work

It stays on "Checking your access".
Refresh the page. If it persists, sign out and back in.
It shows a state you do not expect.
Read the date it names. Most surprises turn out to be a free year that started earlier than remembered.
It disagrees with an email you received.
Trust the panel and tell us. Use Report a problem with what each one says.
