What happens when your free year ends
Exactly what changes, what does not, and what you are not charged.
Short answer
Your public profile goes private and new share graphics become unavailable. Your account stays open, everything you built stays exactly as it is, and you are not charged — there is no card on file and nothing renews.
Nothing dramatic happens, and nothing happens without you. Here is the complete list.
What changes
- Your public profile becomes inactive. Your link shows a not-found page to visitors.
- New share graphics become unavailable to download.
What does not change
- Your account stays open. You can sign in normally.
- Everything you built stays exactly as it was — profile, brand, listings, results, testimonials, media.
- You can still edit and preview privately, as much as you like.
- Graphics you already downloaded are files you already have. They keep working.
- Your CardCloser address is not given to anybody else.
- You are not charged. There is no payment method on file and nothing renews.
Nothing is deleted. An ended free year is a switched-off public page, not a closed account. If you want your account closed, that is a separate decision you make deliberately.
Getting back
Continue on a paid plan and your profile comes back exactly as it was, at the same address. See Continue or reactivate CardCloser with a paid plan.
Will my link be given to another agent?
No. A retired address is not reassigned.
Do I need to rebuild my profile?
No. Everything is kept and comes back as it was.
Can I download my data first?
Yes, at any time. Account → Privacy & data → Download My Data gives you a JSON file with your account, profile, brand, listings, results, publication history, billing summary and a list of your uploaded media.
Am I charged anything on the end date?
No. No card was ever collected, and no subscription exists to renew.
If this doesn't work
- Your profile went private earlier than the date you expected.
- Check Plan & access for the recorded end date. If it genuinely disagrees with what you were told, tell us through Report a problem.
- You cannot download a graphic you made earlier.
- New downloads need active access. The files you already downloaded are unaffected.
- You cannot sign in.
- An ended free year does not lock your account. Use Forgot password, or see Create your account and confirm your email.
