Client testimonials vs. Google and Zillow reviews
Three sources of proof, one of which works today, and why CardCloser keeps them separate.
Short answer
Client testimonials are words you enter yourself with your client's permission, and they work today. Google and Zillow reviews are held by those platforms; CardCloser does not sync either yet, and both are marked Coming Soon.
CardCloser presents external proof. It is not a review platform: it never averages sources into one score, never claims to be the source, and never mixes two feeds together.
The three sources
Review sources
| Source | Who wrote it | Available today |
|---|---|---|
| Client testimonials | Your client, entered by you with permission | Yes |
| Google reviews | Your client, on Google | No — Coming Soon |
| Zillow reviews | Your client, on Zillow | No — Coming Soon |
What works today
Client testimonials. You enter the client's words and how they should be credited, confirm you have their permission, and they appear in the Reviews section of your profile. Up to five, and each one usable as a Share Graphic.
Add a client testimonial walks through it.
Why they are kept separate
- A Google review and a testimonial you were emailed are different kinds of evidence. Merging them into one average would hide that.
- Each source has its own connection state and its own visibility switch, so hiding one never disconnects another.
- CardCloser never presents itself as the origin of a review it did not collect.
There is no combined score. CardCloser does not compute an overall rating across sources, and will not — a single number assembled from three different collection methods is a number that means nothing.
What to do in the meantime
- Add your best testimonials directly. Five strong ones is a complete Reviews section.
- Keep collecting Google reviews. They are valuable where they are, and they will be worth connecting when connection exists.
- Link to your Google or Zillow profile from your Social Links if you want visitors to be able to check.
If this doesn't work
- You want your Google star rating on your profile.
- That is not available today. See Google reviews: current availability.
- You want to paste a Google review in as a testimonial.
- Technically you can — it is a text field. But it is a separate publication with its own permission question, and Google's terms apply to reproducing their content. Ask the client directly instead.
