Confirm permission and show a testimonial publicly

A testimonial is somebody else's words about their own transaction. Publishing it is a decision about their privacy as well as your marketing, so CardCloser asks you to state plainly that they agreed.

What you are confirming

The statement is: "I confirm this client gave me permission to publish this testimonial."

You are attesting that a real client gave you real permission for these words to appear publicly under this name. CardCloser cannot verify that, and does not pretend to — which is exactly why the attestation is explicit rather than implied by the act of typing.

Show it publicly

1. Add or open the testimonial in the Reviews panel.
2. Confirm the permission statement.
3. Save.
4. Check that the Reviews section is switched on in Profile Sections.
5. Preview your profile.

Why permission resets when you edit

If you change the client's display name or the testimonial text, the permission you recorded was for different content. CardCloser therefore asks again rather than carrying an old attestation forward onto new words.

• Changing the words: permission is asked again.
• Changing the display name: permission is asked again.
• Reordering, or hiding and re-showing: permission is unaffected.

Getting permission in the first place

• Ask in writing. A text message or an email is fine and gives you something to keep.
• Show them the exact words you intend to publish and how they will be credited.
• Offer a first name and initial. Many clients say yes to that when they would say no to a full name.
• If they ask you to take it down later, take it down.

If this doesn't work

The testimonial stays hidden after you confirmed.

Save the panel. Confirming is part of the draft until it is saved.

You are asked to confirm a testimonial you did not change.

Check for an invisible edit — a trailing space or a changed apostrophe counts as changed text.

A client has withdrawn permission.
