Share your CardCloser link

Where to find your link, how it is built, and what happens if you change it.

Short answer

Your CardCloser link is cardcloser.com followed by your chosen address. Copy it from the Portal. If you change your address later, the old one keeps working and sends visitors to the new one.

Your link is the product. Everything else exists so that sending it is worth doing.

Find and copy it

  1. Open the Agent Portal.
  2. Your CardCloser address is shown near the top, with a copy control beside it.
  3. Copy it.

Changing your address

You can change the address your profile lives at. When you do, the previous one keeps working: a visitor who follows the old link is sent to the new one automatically.

Old links keep working. This matters because your address ends up on signs, business cards and emails you cannot recall. A changed address does not strand any of them.

What you cannot do is reuse an address you gave up. A retired address is not offered to anyone else either — it stops resolving rather than being handed on.

Choosing a good address

  • Use your name if it is available. It is what somebody will guess and what looks right on a card.
  • Keep it short enough to read aloud over a phone.
  • Avoid a year, a brokerage name or a market you might leave. Those are the three things that date an address.

Where to put it

  • Your email signature.
  • Your social profiles, in the link field.
  • Your business card, next to or instead of a phone number.
  • A text message after a first call, while they still remember you.

Add CardCloser to social media and your email signature has the specifics.

Sharing before you publish

A link to an unpublished profile shows a not-found page, even to you when you are signed out. Publish first, then share.

If you want to check it privately before going public, use Preview in the Portal instead.

If this doesn't work

The link shows a not-found page.
Your profile is not published, or the address is mistyped. See Why your profile is not public.
The address you want is taken.
Addresses are first-come, and some are reserved by CardCloser for its own pages. Try adding your market or your middle initial.
The preview image in a text message looks wrong.
Messaging apps cache link previews. It usually corrects itself; sending the link from a different conversation is a quick way to check.
