Your first 10 minutes with CardCloser
The shortest path from an empty account to a profile you would actually send somebody.
Short answer
Fill in your name, professional title, primary market and a contact method, add your professional photo, then preview and publish. Those five things are what CardCloser checks before it will let you go public — everything else can come later.
You do not need a finished profile to publish. CardCloser asks for five things, and you can add everything else afterwards without ever taking the page down.
The five things CardCloser checks
- Your name — first and last.
- Your professional title.
- Your primary market.
- One public contact method.
- Your professional photo.
The setup guide tracks these for you and tells you how many steps are left.
Do them in this order
- Open the Profile tab. In the Basics panel, enter your first and last name and your professional title.
- In Markets & Specialties, add your primary market.
- In Contact & Booking, choose how clients reach you and make at least one method public.
- Open the Brand tab and add your professional photo.
- Save your changes.
- Preview your profile from the Portal tab row to see exactly what a visitor sees.
- When it looks right, choose Publish My CardCloser.
Then keep going
Once you are live, the things that make the page persuasive are the ones that take longest to gather. Add them in whatever order you have material for:
- A client testimonial — the single most useful addition.
- A listing or two.
- A production result you are proud of.
- Your brand colours and logos.
Publishing is reversible. You can unpublish at any time from Account, in the Privacy & data section, and republish later. Nothing is lost either way.
If this doesn't work
- The publish control is disabled.
- One of the five required items is still missing. The setup guide names which one. Why your profile is not public covers every reason.
- Your edits do not seem to stick.
- Check that you saved. CardCloser warns you before you leave a tab with unsaved changes — see My changes did not save.
